Horace Richard Bridges

Anniston - Funeral services for Mr. Horace R. Bridges, 90 of Anniston will be Monday, January 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating with burial following at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.

Mr. Bridges passed away January 20, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Bridges is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Travis) Evans; two step daughters; one step son; sisters, Ethel Daughtery, Audrey Davis; grand children, Patricia (Jonathan) Harrison, and Jennifer (Stanley) Rooks; great grandchildren, Emily Harrison, Andrew Harrison, Austin Martin, and Payton Rooks; several nieces and nephews

Pallbearers will be Travis Evans, Jonathan Harrison, Stanley Rooks, Michael Harrison, Alex Harrison, and Arnold Honaker.

Mr. Bridges was a lifelong resident and native of Calhoun County; he retired from Union Foundry after 38 years, served in the Army in WWII, and was owner of the County Antique Store for 11 years. He was a member of Primitive Baptist Church and Old Davis Town Church of God.

Mr. Bridges is preceded in death by his first wife, Dorthy Bridges; second wife, Surbrina Bridges; parents, Richard and Nancy Bridges; five sisters; and three brothers.
