Howard is survived by his son Kenneth (Ken) Bain and numerous nieces and nephews.
Howard was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Murray Bain; his parents Albert and Lillie Bain; his brother L.W. Bain; his sister Edna Arms; his sister Elizabeth Bain; his sister Evelyn Garner and his brother William Albert Bain.
A celebration of life for Howard E Bain will be Thursday May 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Forestlawn Mausoleum with Rev. Danny Harris officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Mausoleum. Gray Brown Service in charge of arrangements.
Serving as pallbearers are Nephews.
Howard was the youngest of 5 sibling born to Lillie and Albert Bain. He and his brothers and sisters had a gift of music. Howard played the guitar and sang with the others at occasions in the community. He was the only one from his family to graduate from White Plains High School, where he was involved with FFA.
Howard was called into the military served in the Marine Corp in 1953 - 1960 as an Aviation Machinist Mate.
After leaving the military he worked his way thru college at various jobs. After getting his degree in Education at Jacksonville State University, he taught school at Duke School and Dearmanville School. After teaching he worked as a cattle and poultry farmer for many years until he retired. Howard started pursuing his family history. He did a wonderful job researching the Bain Family Genealogy as well as the White Plains and Choccolocco Valley History. Howard loved talking to people and being around his family. He was always laughing and telling stories at family events.
