Graveside services for Hoyt E. Crane, Jr. 83 of Winder, Ga, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday at Union United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm-1:30pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
Mr. Crane passed away April 21, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, Ga.
He is survived by his daughter, Melanie Crane; son, Michael Crane (Kathy); grandchildren, Burgess Michael Crane, Lacey Katelyn Lackey (Zeb) and Kimble Robert Crane; great-grandchildren, Emory Faith Crane and Addisyn Cash Crane; brother, Herbert Crane (Maxine); many nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters in Christ.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ellen Burgess Crane.
Mr. Crane was a Sergeant of military intelligence for the US Army in the Korean War. He was a devoted husband and father, was a very spiritual man and was highly respected in his field. Mr. Crane will be remembered as one of the finest of men and will be greatly missed.
