Funeral Services for Imogene Elaine Whetstone 71 of Weaver will be 12:00 pm, Thursday, April 17, 2014 at New Bethel Baptist Church in Jacksonville with Rev. Keith Merritt officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-12pm prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Whetstone died Monday at her residence.

Survivors include her: children, Lisa Whetstone, Scott Whetstone (Kim), Aaron Whetstone (Chasity) and Rhonda Jenkins; six grandchildren; sister, Sherry Bush (Lee), and Donna Hays (Scott).

Mrs. Whetstone is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. Whetstone.

She was a loving and devoted wife and mother; and a blessing to all who knew her. She is now resting with Jesus and rejoicing with Ronald, her beloved husband of 51 years. She is, and always will be, deeply missed.

Elaine and I were classmates at Anniston high school. Elaine was very quiet but all who knew her loved her. I know her family will miss her.
