Funeral service for Irene Wood, 94, of Ohatchee, will be 11 am Monday, July 3, 2017 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Rev. Sylvester Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Eulaton United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10am – 11am at the funeral home. Mrs. Wood passed away on Saturday at her residence.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda McFall (Billy Joe), sons, James Wood (Doris) and David Wood (Lois), grandchildren, Tammy Wood, Angela Musselman, Tina McVey, Joey McFall, Darlene Watts and Lisa Hollis, 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wood is preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Wood, granddaughter, Charlene McFall and parents, Bud and Jewell Ford.
Pallbearers will be family.
Mrs. Wood was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. Mrs. Wood was a loving Nanny who will be dearly missed.
