Dan, Sarah and Floyd,

I was so saddened to hear of your loss. It's never easy to lose a parent. Your mother, (my Aunt Janet), was a remarkable person, so caring and loving. I remember the times she visited us in Canada; she would give us the biggest kisses and hugs, and she loved telling us about the three of you as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren - she cherished you all so much. You are in my thoughts.

Our deepest condolences to you and your families as you mourn the loss of your mother and cherish wonderful memories of her.

With love,
Cathy Velazquez, Andre (my husband), and Miguel (my son) & Afsana (my daughter-in-law)

I first met my Auntie in 1968, in Maine. Over the years, I marvelled at the places they lived: Scotland and Barbados. My mom and others told me of how beautiful it is in Alabama, where my Aunt Janet called her final home. Daughter, sister, mother: she had a very large family and was so well loved. I am so glad to have had her in my life. Sending much love to Dan, Sarah and Floyd, and everyone who called her family or friend for our loss.

I spent so much time with this beautiful kind woman while growing up. I love her so much. My fondest memory of her was going to the June Jam with her. She bought Butch and me shirts. She never left me out. Another memory they hardly ever missed a Christmas party at Mawmaw and Pawpaw's. I thought we were cousins for a long time. That's how close of family we were or are. RIP Janet I love you always
