Mrs. Higgins passed peacefully Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in Anniston, AL.
Mrs. Higgins was born on May 13, 1930, in Wadley, AL to Pearl and Kenneth Higgins. She graduated from Wadley High School and then attended Southern Union Community College. She retired from both Regional Medical Center and Wakefield’s. She married James Higgins on August 7, 1949. They raised four children; and she was known as MawMaw to many. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Saks and an active member of her Sunday school.
Jeanette loved the Crimson Tide and Atlanta Braves, but not nearly as much as she loved her family. She loved big and gave the best hugs.
She was preceded in death by her son, Andrew (Andy) Higgins, two sisters (Eugenia and Wilma), and four brothers (Billy, Adrian, Wayne, and Lakin).

Children: Jimmy, Andrew (Jody), Johnny (Polly), and Joy (Dan).
Grandchildren: Amy (Patrick), Andrea (Alan), Andrew (Sara), Jennifer, Jake, Jessica, Melissa (Cody) and J.T. (Brandi).
Great grandchildren: Madison, Katelyn, Bella, Kyleigh, Cate, John Patrick, Drew, Jaina, and Beth.
