Jerry Weems Owen

Funeral service for Mr. Jerry Weems Owen, 68, of Anniston will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Gray Brown-Service with Reverend Jackie Lee Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Owen passed away peacefully Friday evening at Beckwood Manor in Anniston.

Survivors include his sisters, Charlotte Owen of Anniston and Glenda Easterwood and husband Danny of Ohatchee; niece, Nicole Easterwood of Anniston and aunt, Mary Winstead of Jasksonville.

Mr. Owen is preceded in death by his mother, Ina Maie Owen Russell and father, Weems Hughes Owen.

Mr. Owen was an Anniston native. He worked 15+ years at a furniture factory in High Point, NC before he became disabled. Mr. Owen was a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church in Anniston and was a devoted Christian. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
