Funeral service for Jimmie Allen Freeman, 68, will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with the Rev. Dwane Hamby officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Freeman passed away December 14, 2017 at UAB.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Brenda Freeman; his children, Kellee Payne (Richard), Jamie Harbison (Ashley) and Kevin Freeman; five grandchildren, Katie, Callie, Hope, Addie and Dalton; his siblings, David Freeman, Calvin Freeman and Nancy Freeman Lee; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by parents, Robert and Betty Freeman.
Mr. Freeman was a lifelong resident of Alexandria, was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from Anniston Army Deport. He enjoyed being a Civil War re-enactor and shooting the cannon for the children on school day at Janney Furnace.
