AS HER BROTHER TWO YEARS OLDER, I HAVE SO MANY MEMORIES OF OUR TEEN YEARS. DOUBLE DATES, CONFLICTS WERE VERY INFREQUENT. AT A VERY EARLY AGE IN HER PRETEEN YEARS WHEN DAD NEEDED A PIANO PLAYER AT HIS CHURCH, GOD GAVE JOAN THE GIFT OF MUSIC WITHOUT THE LESSONS. SHE WAS GIFTED IN PLAYING THE PIANO BY EAR..WE HAVE HAD MANY SESSIONS DURING OUR FAMILY GATHERINGS SINGING ROUND THE PIANO THE GREAT GOSPEL SONGS. JOAN COULD HEAR A SONG ON THE RADIO AND THEN SIT DOWN AT THE PIANO AND WITHIN A FEW MINUTES BE PLAYING THE SONG. LOVE HER AND WILL MISS HER FOR SURE.

To all the family. Joan spent lots of hours at our house with Glenda n myself. I always looked up to Joan. She had a wonderful personality and a great voice. I love the whole family. We all have gone our different ways but when we talk it is like we saw each other yesterday. Joan arched my eyebrows the first time ever. I thought I was grown. I have wonderful memories with Joan and Janice. Really all the family. Those two were more my age. Praying for all the precious family left to mourn. You knew where they stood with God. The whole family lived for him. A friend from our early years. Love yall

Uncle Bobby,
I cannot start to imagine the pain you and her family are going thru right now. Though our families aren't super close I truly loved Aunt Joanie, as I called her. I remember how kind she was to me back when I was selling Avon. We got so close. But life and sicknesses tore us apart. She was a beautiful classy lady, both inside and out. I will never forget her and her kindness and good advice. God bless and comfort y'all in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead. RIP aunt Joanie! And I love you Uncle Bobby!

Your neice, (Dianne's oldest daughter)
