

Anniston – Funeral services for Rev. Joe Wesley McLeroy, 87, of Anniston will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. James Abernathy, and Pastor Rick Luallen officiating with burial to follow at Oak Bowery Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 5-7.
Mr. McLeroy passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016 at RMC in Anniston.
Mr. McLeroy is survived by his wife, Edith McLeroy; daughters Carol Kaminer, Katrina Bryant, Leanne Edmonson, and Deborah Gilmore; sons Luther “Butch” Brown and Kevin Colburn; grandchildren Sera, Wesley, Regan, Jonathon, Shawn, Amy, Jennifer, Whitney, Dylan, Dakota, and Kassidy; great-grandchildren Brayden, Jaylyn, Kayliyah, Liam, Caleb, Sophia, Chuck, April, Devin, Aidan, Kenzie, Karley, Zoey, Deagan and Emma.
He is preceded in death by his father, John McLeroy; parents, John T. and Geneva Holmes; and granddaughters Paige Adams and Janie Colburn.
Pallbearers will be Wesley, Jonathon, Rodney, Devin, Dylan, Dakota, Josh, and Aidan.
Mr. McLeroy will be remembered for picking guitar and singing Southern Gospel music. He was a devoted Christian and a preacher of the Gospel. He served as a Deacon and elder at First Congregational Full Gospel Church on Deyo Street.
