John William Woodard

Mr. Woodard passed peacefully Thursday, June 9, 2016 at his home in Anniston.

Mr. Woodard is survived by his wife, Doris Faye Woodard; sisters, Sara (Calvin) Harrell, LaNell (Paul) Richie, and Charlotte (Tom) Campbell; brother, Mac Orville Woodard; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Nick Putman, Daniel Putman, Mike Laney, Rob Goodwin, Ben Martin, Clifford Goodwin, and Bobby Burford. Honorary pallbearers will be David Burford, and Gary Burford.

Mr. Woodard was preceded in death by his son, Chadrick Woodard; father, Jamie W. Woodard; mother, Mildred Woodard; brothers, James Woodard, Marcus Woodard, and Marion Woodard; and sister, Martha McGlaughn.

Mr. Woodard was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County; he was a member of Ohatchee Church of Christ. Mr. Woodard was retired after 35 years with Goodyear.
