Pell City - Funeral services for Mr. Johnnie Wallace Hawkins, 83 of Pell City will be Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. J.B. Wells officiating with burial following at Middleton cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30-2 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Hawkins passed away November 14, 2014 at St. Vincent in Birmingham after a brief illness.
Mr. Hawkins is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn “Bonnie” Goode Hawkins; son, Andy Hawkins; grandchildren, Bellamy and Brennan Hawkins.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mr. Hawkins was a native of Ohio and a resident of Pell City; he served in the US Army during the Korean War. Mr. Hawkins worked for General Electric for 23 years in Alabama and Kentucky, Onan Corp in Huntsville and Quality Manufacturing in Talladega.
