
Joseph Scott Bearden was born on June 23, 1962 in Anniston, AL. He is survived by his father, Earl Bearden, mother, Nancy Bearden, one brother, Gary Bearden and wife Susan, nephew Braxton Bearden, uncles, David and wife Patsy Hathorn, Michael and wife, Kathy Hathorn and his beloved best furry friends, Teeny and Peanut. He was also loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Scott was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Silven and Levadie Bearden and aunt Nell Bishop. Maternal grandparents, Braxton and Ernestine Hathorn, uncle Jim “Catfish” Hathorn.
Scott was a graduate of Fort Walton Beach High School and Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business. He worked as an electrical estimator for several companies throughout the southeast and returned to Anniston to make his home.
Scott had a great love for music of all genres and enjoyed demonstrating his DJ skills. Scott enjoyed collecting trains, GI Joe memorabilia and racing RC cars. The Lord took him home unexpectedly on January 27, 2011.
A celebration of Scott’s life will be held at 11 am Monday, January 31, 2011 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. The family will ask that you share any memories or favorite stories you wish with his family. They will be greatly appreciated and treasured during our Circle of Friends Service.
