

Funeral service for Mr. Joseph Edwin Casey Sr., 86, of Anniston, will be at 2 p.m.., Friday, January 23, 2015, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m., Friday, prior to the service. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens Mr. Casey passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Casey is survived by his wife of 65 years, Norma Faye Amos Casey, daughter, Judith Nan (Phillip) Murphy, three sons, Joseph Edwin (Janice) Casey Jr., Richard Lee (Angie) Casey and Christopher Amos (Karen) Casey, sister. Mary Katheryn Casey Vanderford, seven grandchildren, Keri Bishop (Ken), Holly Hunter, April Colquett (Eric), Zack Casey (Brittany), Clint Murphy (Autumn), Cindi (David)Bromley and Cliff Murphy (Natalie), eighteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mr. Casey is preceded in death by his son, Norman Alan Casey, parents Ralph and Carrie Casey, and brothers Horace Lee and Frank Casey

Mr. Casey was a native of Piedmont and a graduate of Piedmont High School. He was a member of the Kiwanis and a Circle of Champions Board Member. He was owner and operator of Otasco in Jacksonville for many years and retired from Sears and Roebuck. Mr. Casey was a U.S. Army veteran and he was of the Baptist faith.
