Weaver - Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Hanvey Jr., 76 of Weaver will be Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Herman Pair and Rev. J.D. Weed officiating with emtombment following Maple Grove Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 1 – 2 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Hanvey passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Hanvey is survived by his wife, Patsy Curvin Hanvey; daughters; Shirley Lee Allison, Martie Maldonado and Sheila Stover, sons; Barry Van Hanvey (Tina Rowe) and John David Weed (Brandi), brother; Fred Hanvey (Shirley), grandchildren; Michael D. Allison, Mandy M. Allison, Meshea D. Allison, Amber Deason, Dakota Deason, Trevor Wilson (Kristen), Katie Jamieson (Glen), Kole Weed and Jake Weed, great-grandchildren; Brooke and Ethan Mr. Hanvey was preceded in death by his sister; Louise Hanvey, parents; Joseph Walker and Mildred Head Hanvey.

Mr. Hanvey retired from B.R. Williams after 26 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Weaver. Mr. Hanvey served in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic.
