Kathy turned 66 just hours before her death. She grew up in Anniston/Choccolocco area where she attended Alexandria High School and was always surrounded by her family and friends her whole life. Kathy was Baptist and in her early ages she mostly attended Holly Springs Baptist Church when Rev. Jean Burns was the pastor. Kathy played a major roll for Jesus Christ and her talents were teaching and keeping children which she kept children for a long time for a living. Later Kathy moved to Golden Springs Congregational Methodist Church where she ran bible schools and Sunday School and taught her daughter to do the same. When Kathy's daughter Wendy became a teen Kathy followed her to whatever church she wanted to attend. For years they attended White Plains Baptist together and then Grace Tabernacle. Leaving there they both fell back into Golden Springs Congregational Methodist until Covid of 2019. Kathy was a model in her younger days and even traveled to places like New York City. Besides keeping kids she always cleaned houses, churches and businesses. Cleaning and organizing for people was her calling in life, besides winning people over to Jesus. She had a talent for getting friends and family in church. She also worked in the meat department at Food Outlet and she worked at the greenhouses in White Plains. Her passion was being a mom. She was the best mom she could be. Her main hobby was shopping. She was a collector of beautiful clothes, shoes, and antiques, like beautiful antique furniture. She didn't watch tv much but her favorite tv was old movies with May West or John Wayne. She liked a lot of 90's action movies and shows like Longmire, Designing Women and all of the criminal shows. She never got tired of the movies Lonesome Dove and Gone With the Wind. Kathy watched tv with her daughter and granddaughter when they stayed the night, which was all the time. Kathy's other passion was animals. She would save and take in any animal. She had many dogs when she passed. Kathy would also take in children and adults who needed help. Her heart was so big. Her family is full of love and Jesus. Kathy was the glue that held her husbands family and hers together. She cooked everyday good wholesome meals from her garden til' she wasn't able anymore. She developed COPD from smoking cigarettes. She quit smoking November 4,2022 but the damage was done leading to her death. However, smoking was the only thing she did that she regretted. She picked up that habit at the age of 16. Kathy was so wonderful, there are no words to describe.
