

Funeral Services for Katie Jo McManus Medders, 86 of Anniston will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday April 15, 2015 at Gray Brown Service Chapel with Evangelist Aaron Dodson and Steve Harbottle officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home. Mrs. Medders passed away Sunday at her residence.
Survivors include her husband Douglas Medders, son Danny W. Medders (Judy), daughter Pamela Talley (Warren), sisters Julia Ann Yates, Charleen Shelton, brothers Mack McManus (Elizabeth), Wayne McManus (Shirley), Sister-in-laws Dean McManus, Sue McManus,grandchildren Lori Feemster (Eric), Leslie Marshall (Byron), Daniel Perry, Katie Christeson (Clay), David Perry (Bethany), step grandchildren Tara Austin (Jason), Patrick Talley (Cassie), Graham Talley, great grandchildren Saydie Marshall, Madison Feemster, Haley Feemster, Carter Christeson, Hannah Perry, Dexter Perry, Noah Perry, step-great grandchildren Mackensie Austin, Montgomery Austin, Miles Austin, Gloria Talley, several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Medders is preceded in death by her infant son Douglas Wayne Medders, parents Olin and Lola McManus, brothers Billy McManus and Wallace McManus.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Perry, David Perry, Gerry McManus, Stephen Gross, Joey New, Clay Smith.
Mrs. Medders was a native of Randolph County and a resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of Weaver Church of Christ and loved to read her bible. She obtained her degree in Cosmetology and enjoyed working in her yard amongst her flowers. She liked to crochet and making Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for her grandchildren. She loved fishing and camping and going to the river. She loved her animals especially Scooter.
