

A celebration of life service for Kenneth Jackson Reeves, 75, of Anniston will be 2 p.m. Wednesday June 24, 2015, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Elaine Lloyd, Mike Reese and Kennedy Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today June 23, 2015, at the funeral home. Mr. Reeves passed away June 20, 2015, at Noland Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Tant Reeves; daughters, Haley Reeves Mabry and Tina Reeves Girvin; sons, Kevin L. Reeves and Kenneth J. Reeves Jr.; grandchildren, Kennedy Reeves, Tanner Reeves, Lucas Screws, Grant Girvin, Alyssa Reeves and Courtney Reeves; sister, Paulette Colson and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Kennedy Reeves and Virginia Welch; sisters, Rita Wilkinson and Teresa N. Welch; and step-father, Paulie Welch. Pallbearers will be Kevin Reeves, Ken Reeves Jr., Tanner Reeves, Grant Girvin, Kenny Bunn and Richard Williams. Mr. Reeves retired after 21 years from the Anniston Police Department and served with the Calhoun County Sheriffs Department for 2 years. He owned Reeves Siding and Remodeling; was involved in Saks Youth activities and was an amateur geologist and rock collector. He was a Christian that loved the Lord and he felt his greatest contribution to life was his family. The family will accept flowers or donations made to the Center of Hope.
