He was raised by his grandmother, Exa Chappell. He graduated from Lincoln High School and was a resident of Anniston most of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry was a meat cutter for over 50 years employed by Food World and Jerry's Taxidermy. He was a veteran of the US Army and always very proud of the time he served. He was a member of Golden Springs Baptist Church where he enjoyed serving with Carpenter's for Christ, in the church kitchen and VBS. Larry was an avid sports fan of all sports but especially loved the Atlanta Braves. He really enjoyed talking and socializing with people and never missed an opportunity to say I love you. He will be greatly missed. Go Braves!
