Larry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Pam Richards Martin, his sister Julia Ann (Tim) McGuirk of Melbourne, Florida, his sisters-in-law Debra Martin of Canton, Georgia, and Patricia Veazey of New Market, Alabama, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Marshall Martin and Naioma Bryant Martin, and his brother David Marshall Martin.
Larry graduated from Anniston High School in 1962 and the University of Alabama in 1967 with a degree in marketing before beginning a decorated career in the U.S. Air Force. After marrying his high school sweetheart Pam on January 28, 1967, he was stationed at Hurlburt Field, Florida. He later was stationed at Korat, Thailand, Anchorage, Alaska and Maryville, Tennessee where he completed his service in the U.S. Air National Guard in 1994. Larry and Pam returned home to Alabama in 2006 to spend their retirements closer to friends and family. Larry enjoyed fishing, traveling, dogs and supporting the Crimson Tide.
A military graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Forestlawn Gardens and Mausoleum in Anniston.
Pallbearers will be Dannie Smith, Ken Humphries, Butch Veazey, Daniel Guthrie, Heath Martin and Hayden Martin. Honorary pallbearer will be longtime friend Dick Pritchett.
