

Ohatchee - Funeral services for Mr. Leonard O. Dyer, age 78 of Ohatchee will be Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Marlon Greenwood, Rev. Ricky Luallen and Rev. James Rainey officiating with burial following at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday September 5, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
Mr. Dyer passed away September 2, 2011 at RMC.
Mr. Dyer is survived by his daughters, Vickie (Ricky) Luallen, Carol (Mike) Mangham, Brenda (Darrell) Boling; sisters Lavon Godfrey, Mary J. McPherson, Janice Brown; brothers, Jerry and Terry Dyer; grandchildren, Chip Boling, Stephanie Williams, Jona Todt, Michael Mangham Jr., Daniel Mangham, Tiffany Robertson, Edna Gurley; great grandchildren, Cole Williams, Caleb Williams, John Todt IV, Jena Todt, Joshua Boling, Jessie Boling, Devin Mangham, Cody Mangham, Michaela Mangham, Justin Williams Sierra Sharpe, Bradley Williams; and a very special friend, Cora M. Calhoun.
Pallbearers will be Cole Williams, Ralph “Chip” Boling, John Todt III, Mike Williams, Michael Mangham Jr., and Daniel Mangham. Honorary pallbearers will be John Todt IV, Caleb Williams, Devin Mangham, Joshua Boling and Cody Mangham.
Mr. Dyer is a native of Piedmont and lifelong resident of Ohatchee; he was a Baptist minister of the Gospel Holley Cross Road Baptist, Unity Hill Baptist Church and Demaris Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Proctor and the staff at RMC ER for their kindness and compassion they showed to the family.
Mr. Dyer is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Matthews Dyer; mother, Mary Dyer Fagan; father, Jewel Oneal Dyer; and brother, Bobby J. Dyer.
