Lewis H. Snider

Funeral service for Lewis H. Snider, 90, of Anniston, will be 1 pm Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at First Baptist Church at McClellan with Rev. Buddy Nelson and Rev. Don Sills officiating. Graveside service will be for family only. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12 – 1pm at the church. Mr. Snider passed away on Saturday at RMC.

Survivors include his son, John T. Snider, grandchildren, Lesley Bollendorf (Keith) and John Taylor Snider Jr. (Kimberly), great-grandchildren, Hunter Lasseter (Jeremy), Daniel Max Stant, Abigale Ruth Snider and Jaxon Lewis Snider, great-great-grandchildren, Cameron Lasseter and Brooklyn Lasseter.

Mr. Snider is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Taylor Snider, daughter, Donna Lee Snider, son, Lewis “Hank” Snider and grandson, Stephen Taylor Poe.

Pallbearers will be Mike Taylor Jr., Tony Taylor, Taylor Snider, Keith Bollendorf, John T. Snider and Tyler Roberts.

Mr. Snider was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was a very dedicated member of First Baptist Church at McClellan. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Snider retired from the Civil Service at Ft. McClellan and after retirement he was very active in tennis, softball, racquetball, and bicycling.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church at McClellan, 805 Morgan Rd., Anniston, AL 36206.
