Linda Wilsey, 78, of Anniston, Alabama, passed away on June 24, 2026. Born January 1, 1948, Linda’s life was marked by steady devotion—to her family, to her church, and to the everyday work of caring for others with a thoughtful, kind-hearted spirit.
Linda graduated from Oxford High School and went on to build a life defined by diligence and reliability. She worked many positions over the years, including serving as a secretary at the bank, bringing to each role the same hard-working commitment and considerate attention that so many came to depend on.
More than anything, Linda cherished her family. Her children were the center of her heart, and her grandchildren “could never do no wrong”—they meant the world to her. That loyal, compassionate love extended beyond her home as well, as she held her church family close and made faith a guiding priority throughout her life.
Linda found joy in traveling, gardening, and settling in with puzzles. She loved baseball, and she was an avid Auburn fan—especially when it came to good-natured rivalry during football season. In all seasons of life, family came first, and her home reflected that devotion: an open door, a welcoming presence, and a warmth that made strangers feel like friends. Her favorite color was blue.
A faithful woman, Linda was passionate about church and consistently went out of her way to help people, offering support with quiet generosity and steady compassion. Her legacy is one of love—deeply rooted in family, strengthened by faith, and expressed through a life of thoughtful service.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Wilsey; daughters, Angela (David) Buzbee and Jennifer (David) Sheets; sisters, Nancy Gregoria, Judy Carter, and Wanda Manning; brother, Faron Young; grandchildren, Courtney Buzbee, Kayla Buzbee, Ashley Jacks, and Aliyah Jacks; great-grandchildren, Axel Jacks, Kayson Watkins, and Josie Jacks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton Williams; Ollie and Margaret Young; Husband Jerry Ross Kiker; and her great granddaughter, Chanselor Jacks.
Visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 542 West 52nd Street, Anniston, AL 36206, on June 30, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Service following at 12:00 pm. Linda will be laid to rest at Anniston Memorial Gardens, 4000 US Highway 431, Anniston.
