Funeral services for Mrs. Lorene Winkler, 87, will be Monday, August 20th, 2018, 2 p.m. at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Rev. Paul Broom officiating. Family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Eulaton Methodist Cemetery.
Mrs. Winkler was born in Cleburne County, AL and lived most of her life in the Eulaton community. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Winkler worked at Regional Medical Center for 10 years in dietary and after retirement, she volunteered many years with “Meals on Wheels”. She loved her flowers, yard, and her home.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Luther A. Winkler; son, Stacy B. Winkler; five brothers and two sisters.
Her survivors include, three daughters, Carol Williams (Danny) of Clinton, MS., Brenda Rodriguez (Jess) of Hartselle, AL., and Julie Mayo (Rick) of Danville, VA.; seven grandchildren, Heather Locke (Michael), Amy Williams, Carrie Chambless (Russell), Kelly Shepherd (Josh), Jenny Stowe (Mark), Evan M. Williams (Emily), Autumn Winkler; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, James Copeland; two sister-in-laws, Louise Broom (Bob), Bobbie Halstead; brother-in-law, Gerald Winkler; several nieces and nephews, and many friends including her neighbor, Darlene Hilton.
Pallbearers will be, Danny Williams, Evan Williams, Mark Stowe, and Russell Chambless.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Mayo and Jess Rodriguez.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to West Park Heights Baptist Church or Meals on Wheels of Anniston.
