Lou Ellen Nunnelly

She was born to Fred and Mattie Bryant on May 30, 1929. She lived a very full 87 years. Always busy, always on the go. Helping anyone and everyone. She rarely said “no”. She was a giver of her time, her talents, her love and her possessions. A friend to many. A gracious host and an amazing cook. A servant leader. There weren’t many things she couldn’t do. She was faithful to her God, her church, Oak Bowery Baptist, and her husband. She loved her family and her “sons”.

She is preceded in death by her husband, R.G. Nunnelly, her parents, Fred and Mattie Bryant and her brother, Robert Bryant.

She is survived by her two sons, Danny B. Nunnelly (Brenda) and Gregory B. Nunnelly (Paula), five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, brother Thurman Bryant and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 12-2 at Oak Bowery Baptist Church with a celebration of her life following with Rev. Sam Fordham and Brother Jerry Starling officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Gray Brown Mortuary and Crematory in charge.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Oak Bowery Baptist Church.
