Lowell T Owens

Oxford – Graveside services for Mr. Lowell Thomas Owens, 76 of Oxford will be Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Vinson Cemetery with Rev. Larry Ward officiating with burial following. The family will receive friends this morning from 11:30-1:30 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.

Mr. Owens passed away November 18, 2013 at his home in Oxford.

Mr. Owens is survived by his wife, Norma Faye Owens; two step-children; mother-in-law, Faye McVey; sisters, Dorthy Skinner, Peggy McMitchen, and Dara (Patrick) McCabe; sister-in-laws, Martha (Gary) Price, and Sandra Crawford; brother, Gene. (Sara) Owens; seven brother-in-laws; five step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Johnny McVey, Joshua McCabe, Pat McCabe, Tony Fields, David McCain, Jimmy Bell, Bobby Austin and Steve Hullett. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Bentley, Billy Austin, Kathy Beverly, Cindy Hubbard, and Alacare Hospice and Home Health Care.

Mr. Owens was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County and was owner/ operator of AutoMax for over 30 years.
