Oxford – Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Eloise Sims, 84, of Oxford will be held Monday, May 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Lakeview Baptist with Rev. Darrell Paulk, and Rev. Chris Spurlin officiating with burial to follow at Forestlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday at Lakeview Baptist Church from 12-1.

Mrs. Sims passed peacefully Friday, May 20, 2016 at Shelby Baptist in Birmingham.

Mrs. Sims is survived by her daughters, Judy (Denny) Besser, and Janet (Mark) Weems; sister, Ludy Cruse; sister-in-law, Arlis Mitchell; grandchildren, Karri Lynn (Chris) Findley, Andrea Leigh (Clyde) Abernathy, Nicholas Paul (Dana) Jenkins, and Julie Elizabeth (Michael) Schneider; great-grandchildren, Leyden Findley, Lauren Ashley Findley, Landon Austin Findley, Ashlynn Elizabeth Abernathy, Anna Dial Abernathy, Daxon Paul Jenkins, and Caroline Elizabeth Schneider; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Nicholas Jenkins, Clyde Abernathy, Michael Schnieder, Chris Findley, Leyden Findley, Landon Findley, Barry Britt, Gary Ragsdale, Jerry Cruse, and Phil Cruse.

Mrs. Sims is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Sims; father, Edward P. Ragsdale Sr.; mother, Lena Mae Ragsdale; brother, Ed Ragsdale Jr.; sister, Frances Britt; and.

Mrs. Sims was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County, a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
