Margaret Pearson Warren, gained her heavenly reward on December 27, 2023 after a brief illness. She spent her last hours surrounded by the love of her life, Johnny, and her three children. To know her was to love her - she was a caregiver with a true servant's heart. Nothing made her happier than cooking in her kitchen, spending time with her family, and serving her church family at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Margaret was born on October 15th, 1945 in Brunswick, Georgia. She was the eldest of six children, with four sisters and two brothers, one of whom died in infancy. If you were ever lucky enough to spend time with her and her siblings, you will remember nothing but lots of loud laughter and a little bit....ok, a lot...of mischief. Those and so many other joyful memories will sustain her family through the coming days. She retired from the Anniston Army Depot after 30 years of service, followed by 12 years with Lockheed Martin as a Computer Operator. Building 363 was kept on its toes at all times.
Margaret is survived by Johnny, her husband of 42 years; her son, James Forest; her two daughters, Kristie (Randy) Goodson, and Wendy (Michael) Snyder; her brother, Tony (Debra) Pearson and her sister, Mary Anne (Randy) Guyton. She was a loving Grandmama to John Snyder and Whitley Snyder, and she had a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus and Martha Pearson, her sisters Barbara Page, Phyllis Gaskins, and Marie Albritton, and her infant brother Rollie.
Services will be held Saturday, December 30th at 2 PM at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Anniston with Dr. Stephen Anthony and Reverend Milton Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church for two hours prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Michael Snyder, John Snyder, Daniel Wells, Tim Jarmon, Phillip White, and Mark Clough.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any remembrances be in the form of a donation to Hillcrest Baptist Church's Project 40 Fund, 5117 Post Oak Road, Anniston, Alabama 36206.
