Funeral services for Marina (Smith) Howell Bonds, 83, will be Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Franklin McGee officiating. Burial will follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, January 9, 2015 at the funeral home.
Marina passed away peacefully at Regency Health Care in Huntsville, AL on January 7, 2015. She was born in Pell City, AL on December 12, 1931 to John Talmadge Smith and Dovey Jane Bain Smith.
Her survivors include her son, Eunice H. “Bucky” Howell III (Charlotte); granddaughter, Katherine Price; great-grandsons, Nathan and Laine Baker; sister, Sue Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Eunice H. Howell Jr. and George D. Bonds; daughter, Matilda Ann Howell; sisters, Bonnie Ismal, Sabrina Bridges; and brother, Raymond Smith.
She will be remembered for her strength and dedication to her family.
