Mr. Marshall F. Irwin Sr.

Anniston – Graveside service for Mr. Marshall F. Irwin Sr., age 73, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Edgemont Cemetery with Rev. Paul Whitton officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 2:00 p.m at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.

He was born, January 17, 1937, passed away, Wednesday, Sep-tember 30, 2010 at Redmond Hospital in Rome Ga.

Mr. Irwin is survived by his sons, Marshall F. Irwin Jr., and wife Orrawan, Mark Irwin both of Rome, GA; grandchildren, Marshall F. Irwin, III, Nicholas Irwin, Kyle Irwin, Krystal Irwin, Alexandra Wiater, Kaleih Wiater; great-grand-son, Elijah Rood; sister, Bonnie Hollingsworth; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Irwin is a native of Johnstown, PA and moved to Anniston at a very young age until 1996. He then moved to Rome, GA. He was an Alexandria High School graduate and a member of Saks Baptist Church, loved gospel music and sang with several local groups. He served in the U. S. Army and carried The Anniston Star Newspaper for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Catherine Irwin, sisters, Becky Childs, Sarah Whaley, first wife, Avon Irwin and daughter, Marcia Irwin.
