Funeral service for Martha Patricia “Pat” Burnham, 71, of Wellington, will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at Gray Brown-Service with Rev. Archie Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Burnham died Friday afternoon at Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Charles Burnham; son, Steven Burnham wife Lisa of Wellington; three grandchildren, Lori Weathington of Ohatchee, Tiffany Weathington and husband Jonathan of Ohatchee, and Michael Burnham of Wellington; seven great grandchildren, Chance, Gabe, and Ace Weathington of Ohatchee, J.T., Katelyn, and Kayla Weathington of Ohatchee and Heaven Burnham of Artesia, NM.; two sisters, Ruby Harden of Wellington, Doris Harrelson of Ontario, CA., and brother, Travis Martin of Gadsden.
Mrs. Burnham is preceded in death by parents J.D. and Jewel Martin
Pallbearers will be Michael Burnham, Brenton Harden, Denton Harden, Tolly Harden, Roger Boozer, and Danny Cox.
Pat was married to her loving husband Charles for 55 wonderful years. They had one child Steve who had 3 children of his own. Together they made seven great grandchildren and they truly were her whole world. She was a dedicated caregiver for many of her friends and family. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Ohatchee. She was an avid bowler for over 40 years. She was a member of the Anniston woman’s bowling league, which she was involved in until her diagnosis with stage 4 lung cancer. After a 13 month battle with this cancer the Lord decided to take her home.
