

Alexandria – Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Cargal Rhodes, 84 of Alexandria will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Kelly Lee, C.J. Boyd, and Rev. Frank Haynie officiating with burial to follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, December 18, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rhodes is survived by her husband of 68 years, Calvin Rhodes; daughters, Linda (Lester) Houston, Joyce (Rodney) Boyd, and Sheila (Kelly) Lee; son, Larry (Carla) Rhodes; son-in-law, Alvin Whitehead; grandchildren, Scott, Randy, Shawnee, Shane, Tracy, Gina, Shasta, C.J., Sonya, Stephanie, Allison, and Michelle; thirty great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Scott Houston, Buddy Cargal, Roger Smith, Corey Steward, C.J. Boyd, and Donnie McClellan. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
Mrs. Rhodes is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bessie Cargal; daughter, Wanda Rhodes Whitehead; sisters, Helen Cargal, Margaret Kee, Opal Forsyth, and Naomi Tucker; brothers, William Cargal, Raymond Cargal, and Marvin Cargal.
Mrs. Rhodes was full of love for Jesus and her family. She was a very loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed. Special thanks to Nurse Shirley and LaTonya for their care of our Mother.
