Mary Edwards Carmickle

Funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Rev. Darrell Brown and Rev. Daniel Harper officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home Mrs. Carmickle is survived by her husband James Carmickle, her daughter Brenda Parker, her son Tony Edwards (Brenda), Granddaughters Cheryl Chapman and Cortney Edwards and 3 great grandsons. Mrs. Carmickle is preceded in death by her late husband Tommy Edwards, parents J.L. and Ethel Gilmer.

Mrs. Carmickle was an avid Atlanta Braves and Alabama fan. She bowled for many years and was a member of the AWBA Hall of Fame. She started doing ceramics as a hobby and ended up owning a ceramics shop at her home. She was a member of Saks Baptist Church.
