ANNISTON – Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Jewell Parrent, age 48, will be 2 p.m., Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. James Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends 6 -8 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the funeral home

Mrs. Parrent passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 at her residence.

Mrs. Parrent is survived by her husband, Dennis Parrent; brothers, Thomas Rudd, Tommy Rudd, Billy Bryant; god-children, Damin, Angel, Brianna Roberts, Jane Vice; mother-in-law, Margaret Parrent; three sister-in-laws; two brother-in-laws; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Geraldine Smith.

Mrs. Parrent was a native of Alabama and resident of Anniston. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Anniston. She retired from Liberty Overall Company after 17 years of service.

She was loved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed by all family and friends.
