Mary Evelyn Gilmore Smith

Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Evelyn Smith, 77, of Anniston will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip King officiating. Mrs. Smith will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m., Monday, April 12, 2010 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith passed away Friday, April 9, 2010 at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughters, Pamela Sue Deason, Carla Ayer, Peggy Kincer; sons Tommy Gilliam, Marcus Smith, Randy Smith; 4 sisters; 2 brothers; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Steven Gilliam, Todd Kincer, Jeremy Kincer, Brian Roberts, Chris Troxell and Daniel Ogle. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church.

Mrs. Smith was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She attended Oak Ridge Baptist Church where donations may be made or flowers will be accepted. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Jones and father William Gilmore.
