Anniston - Funeral Service for Mary Frances “Patsy” Warfield, 91, of Anniston will be Monday, December 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Johnson and Rev. Noah Medders officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until time of service at 2:00 p.m. and after the service until 8 p.m. Burial will be in Mississippi.
Mrs. Warfield departed this life on November 28, 2013, at her residence in Anniston, when she was granted her request, the answer to her prayer to go home to be with Jesus.
Left behind to cherish her memory are daughters, Carol (William) Maxwell, of Kingsport, TN and Janice (Steve) Bufford, of Anniston; grandsons, Stephen Paul Bufford, of Anniston and Justin Lee (Kelli Nicole) Bufford of Elba and a great host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Warfield was preceded in death by brothers, William “Bill” Patterson, Johnnie Patterson, Andrew Joshua “Jack” Patterson, Otis Patterson and Arthur Patterson.
Mrs. Warfield was born in Winston County, Mississippi and resided in Calhoun County, Alabama since 1982. She enjoyed many years of gardening, canning, cooking, sewing and quilting. She gave of herself taking care of people for over 50 years. She was well known for her chicken and dressing, coconut cake and strawberry pie. She was a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Special thanks to her friends who gathered around her bed and sung “Happy Birthday” to her two days before her going home, Dr. Bidikov and to Gentiva Hospice for their every kindness and compassionate care.
