A visitation service will be at Chapel Hill Funeral Home for Maxine, on Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 1:00 pm till 2:00pm. A Funeral Service at Chapel Hill will occur Sunday, November 3, 2024 at 2:00 pm. With Pastor Charles Hornyak officiating.
Maxine is survived by her sons, Gerald Betts, and Don Betts; daughter-in-law, Janice Betts; 7 Grandchildren, Andrew Betts, Brandon Betts (Leah) Rachel Betts, Jason Betts (Kimberly), Lindsey Betts, Katie Betts, Jake Betts (Selesta); and several great grandchildren, and several nieces, and nephews. She has a special cousin Lavale Mills, and Jimmy Hughes that she loved dearly.
Maxine is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur N. Betts Jr., and her parents, Dellie Gann; and Stella Hughes Gann; Son, Richard Betts; Daughter-n-law, Dianne Betts; Penny Betts.
Maxine loved her family very much. Her sons meant the world to her. She was an amazing artist, and very talented in a lot of things. She done weddings, and designed cakes, she was an amazing chef. Anything that she set her mind to she could make, from being an amazing seamstress, from making wedding gowns to anything that crossed her path. There was not anything she couldn't do.
She loved her children, and family more than anything.
