Michael "Pig" Tiller, 66, passed away on July 21, 2026. Born on December 26, 1959, Michael lived with steady devotion to those he loved, meeting the world with a kind-hearted spirit and a loyalty that never wavered.
A graduate of Alexandria High School, Michael carried forward a grounded strength and a generous way of being that made others feel welcome. He was known for the warmth he offered so freely—someone who loved his family and friends, and who truly never met a stranger.
Michael’s hands reflected his heart. He found deep enjoyment in wood crafting and hand crafting knives, pursuits that spoke to his patience, care, and quiet dedication. He also loved riding motorcycles and shooting—interests he approached with the same steady focus and appreciation for time well spent.
Faith was an important part of Michael’s life. He was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church Alexandria, Alabama, where his faithful presence and compassionate nature were felt by those around him.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Dorothy Tiller; his sister, Tina Tiller; and his niece, Kristina Dowdy.
He is survived by his niece, Andrea Alward (Brett); and his nephew, Jeremy Tiller (Carmen).
In the words he held close and spoke plainly, Michael’s heart is remembered in this simple truth: “I love my family.”
