Mildred G McDonald

Funeral service for Mildred Geraldine McDonald, 92, of Anniston, will be held Saturday, October 14th, at 11:00 a.m., at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. Chris Connell officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. McDonald passed away Tuesday, October 10th, 2017, at her residence.

Along with her parents, William and Leila Frazier, Mrs. McDonald is preceded in death by her husband, C.D. McDonald; daughters, Martha Sayers and Shirley Lang; brother, William “Bill” Frazier; and sister, Jackie Frazier.

She is survived by her brother, Donald C. Frazier (Joan); grandchildren, Lisa McCartney Conrad (Michael), Allan Sayers, Mack McCartney (Tanya), David Sayers (Karena); great-grandchildren, Kaula Conrad Wasif (George), Chelsea Conrad Padgett (Matt), and Christian Sayers; and great-great-grandchildren, Morgan Padgett, Mckenzie Padgett, and Charlie Wasif.

Mrs. McDonald was a graduate of Anniston High School, class of 1943, and retired from Tape Craft in 1985. She was a member of Fairview Heights Baptist Church and the V.F.W. She loved to cook and bake, and her rum cakes and brownies were specialties. She enjoyed socializing at the beauty shop with all her friends, and her family was the most important thing in the world to her.
