Florine Naomi McMichael Ford, of Webster Chapel was called to her heavenly home on January 19, 2026. Born on July 28, 1960, in Anniston, Alabama, Naomi's early years were embraced by the loving nature of her parents, Bobby and Loretta McMichael, who preceded her in passing along with her brother Stevie, grandparents Herbert, Hassie McMichael, Naioma Downey, Tom, and Anna Landers, father-in-law JC Ford, brother-in-law Mickey Ford, Brenda & Jay Smith
A woman of faith, Naomi walked through life with the grace and love of Christ. She was a beacon of light to all who knew her with a smile that could stop anyone in their tracks, also radiating kindness and intelligence. Naomi's loving heart and strong determination was the source of comfort and strength to her adoring family, including her loving husband and soul mate, Bop Ford, her cherished daughter, Amanda N. Ford (Darren), her devoted goddaughter, Jesseca Smith (Matt), and godson, Andy Smith. Her god-grandchildren, Addi and Liam, who all brought joy to her life, as did her various cousins, close friends, and her treasured fur babies.
Naomi's educational journey began at Mechanicsville later, her and her family moved, she continued at Jacksonville, where she graduated early as a proud Jacksonville Golden Eagle. She was a bright and ambitious student, dual-enrolled at Jacksonville State University for nursing she also wrote a descriptive paper that was nominated for publishing.
Professionally, Naomi dedicated many years to Fort McClellan Commissary, where her exceptional work ethic and commitment to excellence earned her multiple awards. Naomi also received a job offer to be a Commissary Officer overseas that she turned down to stay here with her family.
She enjoyed being outdoors in the sun, out on the river fishing, a nice walk in the woods, out by the pool with friends, listening to good music and dancing, playing fast pitch softball she would even pitch no-hitters then on into coed league softball but most of all she cherished being with the ones she loves the most and being happy.
Her legacy will continue in those who had the privilege of knowing her, and her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Lub Dub Momma

Funeral service will be 12:30 pm Friday, January 30 2026 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Webster's Chapel. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm at the funeral home.
