Funeral service for Ola Mae Hartley Smith, 97, of Anniston, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, August 16, 2013, at Gray Brown-Service with Bishop Jerry Irwin and Ronald D. Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
Survivors include her children, Ronald G. Smith (Billie Jo), Shirley Hughes, Dorothy Dougher; Katherine Burgess (John D.), David Smith (Elaine), and Richard L. Smith; 15 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Frank Smith; son, Alfred Frank Smith.
Mrs. Smith was a member of Harvest Church of God. She enjoyed traveling, reading, writing poems, and reading the Bible.
