

Home in Anniston, AL. Visitation will be at 2:00 p.m. and the memorial service is at 3:00 p.m.
Mrs. Burney died at home after a long, beautiful life.
Mrs. Burney is survived by her loving children: daughter Darlene Barnwell and her
husband Johnny, of Weaver; Jeff Burney and his wife Bridget, of Anniston; Steve Burney and
his wife Lisa, of Anniston; her grandchildren Shana Harris and her husband Craig, Justin Burney
and his wife Anna, and Lauren Houseknecht and her husband Coleman, and Kelci Barnwell; her
great grandchildren Payton Gregg, Emma Harris, Maggie Harris, Brady Wise, Holden Burney,
Virginia Burney, Callum Burney, Retta Houseknecht, and Hampton Houseknecht; her
great-great granddaughter Audri Gregg.
Pansey Burney was a loving wife, mother, and Mawmaw. She worked at several
businesses with her husband Lamar Burney for many years. She loved to cook and shop and
play cards. She love to watch Alabama Football and she was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
She was a member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church. Her greatest passion was her family and
we all know how much she loved us. We loved her deeply and we will miss the light she brought
to all of our lives.
Mrs . Burney is preceded in death by her husband Lamar Burney; her mother Sally
Corn, her father George Reeves and her step-father Monroe Corn ; her sister Violet Corn and
her brother Delbert Reeves: her granddaughter Carla Barnwell; and her very special friends Joel
and Louise Boone.
