OBITUARY

Patrick Michael Mullen

September 13, 1956February 14, 2019

Patrick Michael Mullen of Anniston died on Feb. 14, 2019, at home. He was 62. He is survived by his wife, Debby Garrett Mullen; one son, Patrick Michael Everett of Nashville; three siblings, two of which he claims, Monica Thrasher (Tommy) of Lincoln, and John Francis Mullen (Theresia) of Orange Beach; several nieces and nephews and four grandchildren.

He remained close to ex-wife, Becky Mullen of Pleasant View, Tenn., and stepsons, Jason Spears and Jonathon Spears.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Francis Mullen, Jr., and Martha Jean Spencer Mullen Petersen and one son, Joseph Vena Everett.

He was born Sept. 13, 1956, in West End Baptist Hospital, attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and graduated from John Carroll Catholic High School in 1974. He was a member of the school’s only state championship football team which completed an undefeated 1973 season culminating in the state championship.

He had a highly successful career in sales in the tool and die and precision instruments industry including being National Sales Manager for the U.S. and Canada for Kennametal Inc.

In his spare time, he loved Alabama football, NASCAR racing, Bacardi and water with a splash of diet in a short glass, Carlile’s Barbecue sandwich with rib sauce, Milos Hamburgers and Salem Lights. Perhaps his greatest joy was cooking and sharing culinary experiences with his wife, Debby.

He requested no services be held. In lieu of flowers the family requests you raise a glass of your choice to Pat and give him a big “Roll Tide.”

Well, I knew something was wrong but didn't really think about it until after I sent my memory. Used wrong word in your passing away. Pat, hope you got a laugh!

Well, it has been almost 3 weeks since you past away. You have been and will continue to be missed by all who knew you. I had a Milo's hamburger last week and thought of you. May you rest in peace my friend.

Pat had a laughter that was infectious. A more jovial and sincere individual one could never meet or hope to meet. When it came to Alabama football. Pat was a fan to put it mildly. Never has a Roll Tide been stated louder or with more tenacity than that which Pat would yell it. So for Pat. One last; ROLL TIDE!

The love of my life. You are gone but will never be forgotten. I'll love you for the rest of my life, not just yours. I only hope I made you happy during the times we had.
