Mr. Kelley was a lifelong Calhoun County resident who was raised out in the Oak Grove community. This man was someone who cared nothing about drawing attention to himself. His main concern was being there for his family and friends. He loved his country and served in the United States Army for a full term. Mr. Kelley was definitely a man who cared for his local community as well. He was instrumental in recruiting businesses to the city of Jacksonville, where he owned his business, the Jacksonville Building and Supply. Being a lifetime builder and owning his own logging company would also serve him well. However, his greatest description is of his character which was quoted by his son Keith; "Things meant nothing to him - people did". What a legacy and terrific example! He will definitely be missed by all who were blessed with the privilege of knowing him.
