
Funeral services for Pauline “Polly” Towne Cupp, 82, of Alexandria will be Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Rev. Todd Borders officiating. The family will receive friends starting at noon on Sunday. Mrs. Cupp passed away Friday, March 4, 2016 at RMC.
Survivors include her children Debbie Goble (Jerry), Curtis Cupp (Angie), sister Emmie Haynes (Norman), sister-in-law Shirley Towne, grandchildren Franci Florey (Jerry), Donna Kay (Matthew), Sam Cupp, Max Cupp, great grandchildren Avery, Raegan, Chayse, Graysen, Sawyer, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Mrs. Cupp is preceded in death by her parents Edmund and Flossie Towne, sister Gwennie Reid, brother Charlie Towne.
Mrs. Cupp was a longtime resident of Calhoun County and a graduate of Anniston High School in 1953 “Old School Alumni”. She retired from RMC in 1999 after 39 years of service and was a member of Hill Crest Baptist Church. She was self-proclaimed mayor of Alexandria. She was an avid fan of Alabama Football and Atlanta Braves. Special thanks to Gloria, Mark and Renee of Alacare and the family caregiver Janice Treckey, also to Dr. Aremu and Dr. Cabillero.
In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Children’s Hospital of Alabama.
