Ralph is survived by his wife, Mary E. Hughes; his son Gavin Lee Hughes; his sister Verita Kay Jones; his grandchild Bailey Hughes and several nieces and nephews.
Ralph was preceded in death by his daughter Melissa Joy Hughes and his son Michael John Hughes; and his parents William and Leta Hughes.
Serving as pallbearers will be his friends and family.
A graveside service for Ralph will be held Monday, March 28, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Forestlawn Gardens, 730 Goldensprings Rd, Anniston, AL 36207.
Ralph was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church. He served in the Vietnam War in the US Army. He enjoyed watching Alabama games and listening to country music. He also loved to fish and go camping. He was a loving husband for 56 years to Mary, and he will be greatly missed.
