Randy graduated from Saks High School in 1973. He loved playing football for the Wildcats.
He also graduated in 1980 from Gadsden State’s 1st graduating Paramedic Class.
He was passionate about EMS. He was a walking book on laws, rules and regulations regarding EMS in Alabama. He was loved by co-workers and later his employees at OEMS. They called him “BossMan.”
He was a servant. Helping people was in his nature. As he became more disabled one of his biggest disappointments was not being able to help family and friends and do more at church.
Bama Fan. You didn’t need Google when Randy was around. He loved The Tide. He was a season ticket holder for over 30 years. He traveled from Los Angles to Miami and all points in between to watch Bama, win or lose.
The most important thing to him of all was his assurance that he was saved by God’s grace. He loved to worship. He was an avid person of prayer. He believed that whatever came next, the Lord was always with him.
“Even If” by Mercy Me was his anthem the last 2 years.
If he could tell you anything right now it would be to make sure you are 100% sure you are saved.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
