

Graveside services for Richard Earl Maye Sr., 61, of Ohatchee, will be 3 p.m. today, October 24, 2011, at Anniston Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bill Lackey officiating. The family will receive friends today from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Maye died Sunday at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Maye, of Ohatchee; two sons, Richard Maye Jr. (Kelly), of Southside and Ross Maye (Kathy), of Ohatchee; seven grandchildren, Corey and Kendra, Brandon, Jamie, Becky, Shane and Matt; six great-grandchildren, Cordell, Gracy, Harper, Kaleigh, Blake and a special great-granddaughter one month old, Kennadi Lynn Maye. He looked forward to her every day, one sister and three brothers. Mr. Maye is preceded in death by parents, Charles and Willa Fay Maye. Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.
Mr. Maye was a native of Anniston and a resident of Ohatchee. He was a truck driver for 35 years. Mr. Maye was a Church of God by faith.
