Ricky Abbott was a very kind and loving man. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan who also enjoyed Nascar racing, gardening, hunting and fishing with his grandchildren. Of all of the people, places and things he loved, it was his children and family that he cherished the most. If anyone needed a place to go or needed help, they could always go to "Daddy's house". He never met a stranger as he and his wife took in everyone. Being a hard working man, Ricky had several different jobs in his life. From furniture upholstery work to eventually owning and running his own painting business til the day he retired, he never stopped working earning him the title as "the strongest man we know"! Ricky was also a longtime member of Beulah Baptist Church in Sterrett, Alabama. He will greatly missed by his beautiful family and the rest of us who had the privilege of knowing him.
